Default Harrahs LV Standoff

Harrahs LV makes the news:
News Story

My favorite line:

"Guests were evacuated from the 19th, 20th and 21st floors and offered blankets and food at the hotel buffet, Harrah's spokesman Alberto Lopez said."

I've eaten at the Harrahs Buffet...that's more of a punishment than being caught in the crossfire.

On my plane back from Vegas today a guy that sat next to me told me about this. He was staying at the Harrahs last night, and his girlfreind was sleeping in their room and he tried to go back to the room at 2am after gambleing some. He told me that he was not allowed too, in addition the hotel would not allow most people staying at the hotel to go upstairs regardless of what room they were staying on. He stayed up all night and was finally allowed back to his room at 9:15am, he had about 30 minutes to pack before he had to go to the airport. He mentioned that their was SWAT police all over the place, in addition to other types of officiers doing all sorts of investigating work.

I'd certainly hope so. Considering how good their Seafood Buffet is at Rio, this place was an abomination.

Anyone hear any more about this incident? Any details as to what caused the whole fiasco?

Some kid was running through the casino waving a gun, screaming "WHERE'S DIKSHIT?". Nobody knew what the hell he was talking about.

I don't know about better, but it is definately mediocre.

As for the shoot-out I rememeber going past Harrahs in the early hours of the morning with about 16 police cars outside.
