Default manning v brady XXVII... or something like that

Before going into this game, I'd like to comment on last week. They're not booing in Baltimore... they're saying mooooovers.

I'd like to say the Colts' "D" is playing lights out - but I'd hate to be attacked by LT as being classless. The real definition of classless? How 'bout a roided up linebacker dancing every time he tackles someone for a six yard gain?!

The Colts this week are an (Adam Vinatieri field goal) three point favorite. How fitting is that? That cannot be the way it goes down though. I can't help but feel over confident about this game; but, I have to remember how much I overlooked the Steelers last year. The similarities exsist, yet I still feel good about picking the Colts in a rout.

Somebody please remind the media that Tom Brady threw four picks against the Colts in the regular season. Patriot fans will tell you that was a meaningless game - but if New England wins that game then we are playing away this week.

Brady also threw three interceptions last week. If one of those isn't fumbled and recovered by the Pats for a first down then we're playing in San Diego this week.

Peyton has been less than perfect in these playoffs, also. No one has to remind Colts fans of that - we've heard it every year since the Manning was in college. But I'll take my chances that two all-pro receivers will make enough plays to outweigh Reche Caldwell and Jabar Gaffney. And stop talking about the "rule changes" that were made because of the Colts' receivers getting mugged a few years ago... unless, of course, you'd like to discuss a certain "tuck rule" that was enforced for the first time ever in a certain AFC championship game that gave a certain team their first Lombardi Trophy.

I do believe that Corey Dillon will have one big run of 25+ yards. Unfortunately running hard for twenty-something yards will make him too winded to have any other carries over three. This will bring Maroney into the game. Usually an explosive back when given the opportunity, he will still be timid from the lickin' he got from Bob Sanders last time the two teams met. I think you know where I'm headed with this... three straight games under 100 yards rushing defense.

Bellichek used to be the "mad genius" for a reason, now he just looks mad. Teddy Bruschi hasn't made a big play since he came back from heart surgery two years ago (you know, the time ESPN made a huge deal of this guy running around the field not making tackles). The Pats celebrated like a team who had never won a playoff game last week. This is a different team than the three time Super Bowl champs.

Prediction Colts-41 Pats-14 (LT will smile)

I think I'm forced to cheer for Indy for two reasons:

1) I can't deal with a whole off-season of "Brady is clutch-god-superman."

2) I can't deal with a whole off-season of "Manning can't win the big one." Plus, baby Eli should have the title.

motor,

Eli has to get over the "being a good NFL QB" mountain before he has to tackle the "can't win a big game" moniker.

LOL at this thread getting stickied. That's really all I have to add. Sorry.
