Spring Training preformances that give you a woody
Optioned back to AAA today this spring Adam Miller has thrown 14 shutout innings, 8 so, given up 8 hits and 3 walks. He honestly looked like the stud the Tribe have been raving about and I have to keep myself from rooting for a Paul Byrd injury so i can see him in the regular season.
Whose been dominating for you favorite team this spring? |

Re: Spring Training preformances that give you a woody
Brian Anderson's having a solid spring. Hopefully this and his improvement in last year's second half are good signs. I'm really worried that they're going to send him down/bench him and have Erstad (and his .275/.296/.333) in center to start the year. Cause, you know, he's a grinder.
The Sox other top prospects (Owens, Sweeney, and Fields) look good too. |

Jose Reyes obviously. Milledge has been solid and I'm still wishing I could go back in time and somehow stop Omar from trading for Shawn Green.
Glavine, Maine & Perez (other then his first start) look really good. Pelfrey has been outstanding. In the bullpen Feleciano & Schoenenweis have been lights out. And this Joe Smith kid has come out of nowhere and been great. |

Rich Harden has 18 K's and 1 BB through 8.2 innings this spring training. This has me very excited for my keeper team.....

It won't last but...
[ QUOTE ] The Mariners' projected starting rotation (Hernandez, Jarrod Washburn, Jeff Weaver, Miguel Batista and Horacio Ramirez) has been stingy with runs this spring, as they have allowed just a 2.49 ERA in 47 innings of work. [/ QUOTE ] I'm going to be watching Felix and hoping he breaks out a bit this year. |

I call right not Rich Harden for Cy Young if he stays healthy. I think he will this year. 22 wins with an ERA under 3 and leads the majors in strikeouts. How about that for bold perdictions??

Re: Spring Training preformances that give you a woody
Matsuzaka in the 4th today was nails. He wanted strike 3, ump said no. Turns his back to plate, gets pissed. Rears back, 95 mph. Then 96 mph twice. I am watching it right now for first time and he's retired 10 in a row.
Bulldog says now he sees it. The competiveness and the heat. He was Spring Training fastball at 91 and everybody was hmmm...but he's a vet getting ready for season. Plus the witch pitches. WTF GET A CLOSER!! I worry they got Jetter and Cano (freak) and we got a Luggie and a kid from Pawtucket...oh f-it. Headsup Sox over Yanks, Yank score close to 1000 runs this year win the the division, just gotta get in. Love Sox Love Baseball. Dig the Pads too. 3base KOOOS ball explodes off his bat, gave up Barfield Jr to get him, but looks good. Wells is the MAN, but really looks done. |
