Re: 5NL - AKs leads flop & turn, raised on turn after board pairs
As a disclaimer, I generally just troll these forums as I'm a limit player who just dabbles in NL ring occasionally as a refresher/diversion.
That being said, you're getting nearly 5-1 on that call. If you had a history with the opponent and knew he was solid, I'd probably lay it down, though I think it would be close. Against an unknown at these limits, I'd look him up and expect to win probably 20-25% of the time. |

Fold to turn raise. If Villain is agro, call.

No. Snap call turn-raise. This is 5NL and that turn card was okay for us, all things considered.

Re: 5NL - AKs leads flop & turn, raised on turn after board pairs
You're probably beat by A-3 or pocket deuces, but I see nothing wrong with calling with the pot odds offered (over 4:1). I would also factor in villain's TAF. The higher it is the more likely I am to call (as the previous poster said). It's my experience that TPTK is good more than 20% of the time at 5NL in this situation, which are the odds you need to call.
If you were only getting, say, 2:1, it is an auto-fold. |

If you would even consider folding to the turn raise, you shouldn't bet pot. Hand is played fine, to me.
