anybody?

Just to add...I recently changed from a Taylormade 360 to the Taylormade Burner which is goign to be a little bit longer club.

Would a bigger backswing give my body a chance to turn in tune?

[/ QUOTE ]

this actually works for me as a quick fix during a round, as long as i stay behind the ball and let my arms swing freely on the downswing.

Flare your left foot out. (point your left foot more towards the target at address) If that doesn't help move your ball position more forward in your stance.

I am having trouble getting a solid turn on my downswing when I hit my driver. This is leading me to hit it straight but everything is going right because I am leaving my body open.

Any advice/suggestions on any changes I can make to get myself to get a better turn on my downswing?

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm confused by your question.
If you're body is open, it sounds like you have turned on your downswing.

JTrout...

I think that on my upswing I am rotating (like you should I think) but I am either not getting turned back when I swing downward or I am getting my hands too far in front of my body on the downswing.

WRHearst...I agree that the club is lighter..I probably just need to work on it, but of course texas is having the wettest summer ever so you cant get any golf in.

If you aren't getting turned back when you swing downward, then your body would be closed at impact (aimed right for a righty), and not open (aimed left).

It is possible, but not likely, that you are getting your hands too far in front on the downswing.

Are you shifting your weight?
Is your weight on the inside of your right foot at the top of your swing?
Is your left shoulder turned behind the ball and almost over your right shoe?
Are you finishing with all the weight on your left (front) foot?
Can you hold that position untill the ball hits the ground?
When you finish your follow through, which shoulder is closer to the target, the right or left?

JTrout...haha lots of questions that I dont have answers to right now...I would have to get out and swing to be able to tell you what I am doing. But next time I can get out I will try and see what I am doing.

I do feel like I am shifting my weight though (whether correctly or not) from foot to foot, but I my timing may be off?

I will say though that I dont end up off balance when I finish my swing.
