Default $100NL Cut Off Raise W/66, RR from Button, fold ?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

UTG ($85.05)
UTG+1 ($52.35)
MP1 ($116.65)
MP2 ($265.65)
MP3 ($100)
Hero ($115.25)
Button ($99.95)
SB ($16)
BB ($80)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
5 folds, Hero raises to $4, Button raises to $9, 2 folds, Hero calls $5.

Flop: ($19.50) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $8, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $27.50

The more I look at this , the more i'm disgusted, do you fold here PF with no reads on villain ? Should I have fired out $15 at the pot on the flop, representing AK or the like ? Should I check, see what villain does, and when he throws out a weak CB bet like this, then raise him ?

Basically 2 questions;

1.do you ever call a re-raise with this hand in this spot with no reads
2.how do you proceed post flop if you do call

Think I know the answer to this, but go ahead, I need it drilled in my head.

Sure I'll call it. We'll be playing for set value and will need to make up roughly $35-$40 after the flop to make it pay off. Since the button has $80 left in his stack and the pot will be already $20 this shouldn't be too hard, in fact we should make more (which makes up for the times we hit but don't get paid).

As for #2 well we are playing for set value... no set, done with the hand.

With a read you could raise him to $24 on the flop.

I love the girly reraises at this level, I call preflop here is they have a good sized stack, fold to the the shorties

2. readless I'd want a more friendly flop

Extremely standard. If he raises more PF lay it down. No reason to fight for this one after the flop. No set, no bet.

I like it as is, though I'm no expert.

You raised 4x the BB which isn't much compared to stack size but it should be enough to get rid of anyone who doesn't have something playable and might take the blinds right there... and you didn't risk a lot to try it.

Calling the raise, you were getting around 14:5 which isn't wonderful but you could take it on IO and fold if you miss. His raise almost certainly indicates a pair or AK and odds are his pair, if he has one, has you covered. The only way you're ahead PF is if he has AK and the flop would have just put you behind.

You missed, he bet, you cut your losses.

What's not to like?
