How often does he have an A? If he doesn't, how often does he call? Not a lot in the way of reads, but ... my thought was that he's quite likely to have an A. OTOH, he's could easily have 2 pair, which probably calls. If it's 2 pair, I think he probably paired the K, because I think an unknown player would reraise 2 pair on that flop. But what do I know .. I'd probably b3bai with a lot of the hands I think he might have. I set up the bet sizing so that I'd have some nice options on the turn, but i wasn't really sure what to do with the K. |

Re: $100NL 89 flops TJQ, turns K
I would bet here to get value out of 2 pair. About 18 - 20 I think.
You have to fold to a raise though. He wont raise 2-pair and it's unlikely that he would raise a 9 either because you could easily have an Ace the way you have played the hand. The problem is because he is shortstacked you will be getting good odds if he shoves over you. You have to decide whether or not he would turn his 2 pair into a bluff. If you think he is capable of this, you might make more checking the turn and calling a river bet. |

Re: $100NL 89 flops TJQ, turns K
I like betting the turn. You're probably not going to get much value if you check behind and then call a bet on the river. I like repping the ace. If he raises, it's an instamuck and if he calls, you can check/check the river. With a check/check river, you either lose to the ace, or got paid off on the turn by two pair.
