Re: Whats your line? $10NL
Calling represents a 7 or pocket pair or a float or draw or A-high. Calling on this board gives away nothing - I'd call the turn too if it bricks and let him try push me off my scared 7. Unless you have some abnormally tight range for calling a flop like this HU, calling doesn't say anything about your hand.

Re: Whats your line? $10NL
Put yourself in his shoes. If your OOP overbet were called here, what reads would you have on your opponent. I doubt you would decidedly say "he has trip jacks" although that would certainly be in his range. It oftentimes helps to think about these sorts of things from villain's prospective to see what your actions depict.

[ QUOTE ]
Put yourself in his shoes. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, not as easy as it sounds. I dont min raise PF here and I dont over bet this flop. So knowing what is going through his head is kind of difficult for me (I need to work on that) If I raise PF with KK to .4 and get called. I would bet .75 on the flop and if I get called I will lead the turn and flod to a raise with out some damn good reads. On a flop like this a smooth call/raise turn almost ALWAYS seems to be trips. Slow playing is so common and it has become blatently obvious to me (but then again I like to think that I have a brain and villian apparently doesnt). |

Re: Whats your line? $10NL
Just hope he ain't thinking 'I have 7s full, how can i get this sucker to stack off with just trips'
Maybe he is on 3rd level thinking thats why he overbet this flop. |

Re: Whats your line? $10NL
If he has 7s full I have 4 outs twice and 3 outs once unless he turns quads. And in that case I would say its just a cooler make a note of it and rebuy.

Re: Whats your line? $10NL
OP i think your giving villan too much credit here he doesnt look like a "thinking" player to me at all.
First of he raises 2xBB with KK giving you a decent price for a range of hands then he makes a 2.5x overbet of pot on flop when its possible he is behind. Call flop push turn type "ty" in chatbox when he calls for making it so easy for you. gl |
