Default What stats should I be aiming for?

Is there anywhere (I have tried a search but I am not getting anywhere) where I can see what are the "right" stats ie BB/100 loss from SB and BB. I think I have a fair idea of Vpp etc
thanks
Richard

It really depends on the game and the table. There are no "right stats" so to speak. That said most good shorthanded (6-max) hold'em players will be have a VP$IP% greater than 15 and less than 30, a PFR% greater than 10, and a post flop aggression factor greater than 2. There is a lot of room for individual styles and specific table adjustments within these parameters.

As mentioned, it depends on the game. However, be assured, you will show a loss from the blinds, so trying to chase those stats may not be very useful. If you play "right" for the game you're playing, the stats will take care of themselves.

Don't aim for stats. Play your game, and make your adjustments when things don't work out.

Exactly, because two different players can have the same stats and still play very differently, with the same results.

While these statements may be true, I think looking at stats definitely has value. For instance, if your results in the big blind are worse than that of an average (and average means bad) player, that's a good indication you're doing something wrong.

OP doesn't say what game he is playing, but here are some limit Hold'em small-stakes stats:

Short Handed Blind Results

Full-ring stats for good players

OK, I'll admit I didn't really look at OP well, I just saw the title and had my response figured out.

However, since OP is specifically asking about stats in the blinds, check the microlimit FAQ for some help on the limit side. uDevil's links should be good as well.

You will loose money in the blinds. That's to be expected. If you are playing the in the right range of VPIP for these positions, then you should be OK. If you are in that range and losing larger than expected, you need to consider how well you play OOP and adjust accordingly.

Thanks for your help guys.
I realise stats are not everything but as uDevil says I just want to try and determine if my stats are way off.If so then I think some adjustments should be made.

"Don't aim for stats. Play your game, and make your adjustments when things don't work out."

But things might be working not too bad but could be better,if you see what I mean

Thanks again for your input
