Default 3/6 hand against Leatherass

Sorry for not posting in FR but I figured more people here had experience playing against him

3/6 9 handed on Stars, effective stacks $600

I have really no history with him other than the short time I played 1/2 6 max with him but I doubt he remembers that. He just sat down about an orbit ago and hasnt really done much.

Folded to me on the button with ATo and I raise to 24, SB folds and Leatherass calls in the BB.

Flop T 7 3 rainbow (Pot $51)

He donks into me for 36, I call (pretty standard yes?)

Turn A completing the rainbow (Pot $123)

He again donks into me for 90, I call again(?)

River J (Pot $303)

Leatherass shoves, I fold

Thoughts?

If I did the math right, his river bet is $450, that means you have to be good 60% of the time. I don't know.. after you call the turn he's gotta figure you're either beating Ax or on draw, and when he shoves the river straight card I don't think he's bluffing more than 40%. I think his range here like 50% 98, 20% set, 20% AT/JT or worse made hand, 10% bluff. Good fold.

I don't have any experience playing with him, but from what I've read I take it he's fairly tight and very solid?

I think best case scenario you're splitting here, with a good chance of a set or a straight. A fold is probably best.

Looks good. I think the J makes it a slightly easier fold since the only draw got there. I'd seriously want to cry on a blank river if he shoved (from what I have gathered of this guy).

60%? You never need to be right more than 50% of the time to call a riverbet.
