I have thought this a few times lately when I've seen someone call a raise with what seemed to be AK3 in Stud 8 and thought maybe Stars shuffleshowed since their river card seemed to be good. Then those same guys showed down AK3 with a 9 river card a few times later and decided they just sucked.

"No, we do not shuffle the hole cards in any of our hand histories.

Not to sound stupid but can someone explain what you mean by shuffel the hold cards in the HH?

Shuffling the hole cards means that in the HH, the cards are not in sequence. If they are in sequence, you can make a read on how someone determines their starting strength, etc. It is a very handy feature.

For example, if someone is completing AK (3) rainbow in early position, you can profile them differently than someone who completes A2 (3) suited.

I have noticed that the stud 8 games are really soft right now, up to $1/2. There are roughly the same number of tables, so I don't think that it is going to last.

It's easy enough to verify. At showdown press ALT+PrintScreen. Open Word and press CTRL+V. You have a copy of what villain held. Beneath that copy and paste the HH. Compare. Maybe PT is shuffling it?

I've written the same email to Stars asking whether they'd begun shuffling several times. The response always come back no. So I guess it's just that--surprise, surprise--there are some days when the fish are particularly bad at poker.
