Bet on the Bears, suffer the following fate:

So you're going to bet a huge road dog with a depleted secondary and piss-poor run defense because "everyone" thinks they'll lose? great photo btw.

I have an offer to take the Bears straight up. The numbers alone say that bet is +EV. The problems:

1) I'm a big Bear fan
2) I live in Wisconsin around all Packer fans

Does one pass up a +EV wager in favor of not violating rule of betting with your heart?

I need help

so it's legal to do that on a football field, but it's not legal to gamble online. makes a lot of sense.

Thremp thats usually the case, but in this instance, its far more likely a seattle ML bet is just burning money. that is certainly not taking the best of it.

I don't see it as any worse than betting the Bears ML in terms of ROI. I'd imagine both are slightly -EV.

In this case it's Bears +100, not the Bears -400 ML. I'm obviously getting better odds. But at what price....really just playing around and very anxious for Sunday's game.

If you're offered +100 on a -400ish proposition and you think that's betting with your heart and not with your head, I really don't know what to say.

And here I was happy to get Bears -2.5 -240.
