Default NFL Week 16

YTD: 78-71-3 (-3.27 units; ROI: -2.19%)

Not a very good week 15, but on to more value this week.

Oakland Raiders +7 (-105)

The Chiefs opening at -1 had some value, but now all of that value has been bet out and then some. The Raiders are clasically bad, helping to push this line up to where it’s at. I doubt a 7.5 at standard odds will be had by game time, but the Raiders don’t lose often enough to not have a profitable return at this price.

I like it, I'm on the Raiders too.

Here are my reasons.

Lady luck hasn’t been all that kind to me lately, but as a fortune cookie once said: "Instead of worrying and agonizing, move ahead constructively."

Pittsburgh Steelers -3.5 (+100)

Pittsburgh is obviously playing for much more than the Ravens are, and when it’s all said and done they might be labeled as the best team not to make the playoffs. Not sure I would agree with that if the do end up running the table, but they’re catching the Ravens in a good spot. Not only are the Steelers playing very well, but the Ravens haven’t much to play for, and they’re likely to be without Ogden in this game. He’s a big part of the offense (even though he never touches the ball), and against a stout Pittsburgh team the Ravens will have a tough time moving the ball. In any event, all things considered the Steelers will win this game often enough to be profitable laying these odds.

Houston Texans +9 (-103)

The Colts really impressed everyone on Monday night, while the Texans were crushed in New England. Houston will likely be fired up for this game against their division opponent, and while I don’t expect them to win this game these odds provide a profitable situation.

Seattle Seahawks +180

It’s not often Seattle is an underdog at home, and last week’s poor effort against the 49ers didn’t help their image at all. They’re not nearly as bad as they showed last week, and I expect the Seahawks to play with more intensity than the Chargers, and the Seahawks have a better chance to win this game than the line indicates. You could alternatively take the points and win this bet more often, but more value is had with the money line.

Been on it for a cpl days. Too many weapons on offense, NYG has been way too inconsistent to believe in at this point, they haven't been able to get it done and even if they realize the clock is ticking even harder this week I like Drew Brees to have a bounce back week and light em up.

Doesn't look to be any value either way in that one. I did take the Giants to win in a pick'em pool.
