Default Anyone else play high stakes Golden Tee?

Just wondering if this is strictly a midwest thing.... but does anyone else out there play, or know someone that plays golden tee for more then 500 a hole? It is extremely common around here but I dont seem to think it happens anywhere else.

i remember seeing an episode of True Life years ago that had some fat Midwestern guy touring the country killing golden tee.

Golden Tee is very popular in Ohio, but I've never seen its seedy underbelly.

What part of the midwest? What kind of people would play $500+ a hole?
