UTG (35/22, the table mark, 70bb stack) opens to 3.5bb.
CO (22/21 winning shortstacker) shoves for 25bb. SB (me, covers both, winning TAG image) has 99 (BB is a TAG who covers me, but thats making it more complicated than it needs to be, so lets not worry too much about him unless people think he really matters) call or fold or minreraise or shove? How about TT, JJ, AQ, or the other marginal hands? If you think answering more than the original question is giving up too much information, thats ok (I disagree). The important thing is we all learn how to beat up the shortstacks, so the more you have to say about situations like this, the better. |

I don't think 99 fares too well against a winning short stackers range for pushing 25BB over an UTG opener. I'd call JJ, but I'm not sure if that's the best way to do it, wouldn't fold it anyway. TT I'm not sure.

Ive never worked out the math but I fold TT and AQ, call JJ [/ QUOTE ] His range has to be really tight for this to be good. I'd say SS pushes at least AJo/ATs/77, which makes 99 a call |

How much does the concern of getting shoved over by the UTG raiser influence your range?
