Re: NL 100 - AA in a rr pot 3way
yea pretty standard, better players might know better plays, but here im definitely betting that flop with so much money in the middle, and with only 40 bucks left, getting him all in on the turn is obvious.

That looks pretty standard to me.

Re: NL 100 - AA in a rr pot 3way
The flop is very draw-heavy, so I'd like to see an over-bet there rather than ~80%. Given the stack sizes, though, I'm not sure a check is completely out, either, though.
On the turn, what was your thinking on the bet? What hands did you put him on? I think A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] is most likely, although JJ, TT, 88, 77 and AQ-AK are also possible with at least one spade. All of those hands beat you or have serious draws. You're either barely ahead or way behind. Make it clear on the flop that he's going to have to put his whole stack in if he wants to play. Otherwise, you might as well just give it up then. |

Re: NL 100 - AA in a rr pot 3way
That turn makes me want to hurt things. MP2 seems like he could make a bad call, and not the type to make a stupid bluff if you check the turn. So I think you did what you had to do.

Re: NL 100 - AA in a rr pot 3way
well my thinking was that if was happy to call $40 on the lop already putting in$57 before the turn, he would call off the rest of his stack with whatever he has, wther or not he is ahead/behind, i think that he can show up here with QQ/KK/AK, maybe not too often.

Re: NL 100 - AA in a rr pot 3way
I've been trying to play the turn more aggressively lately. However, most pocket pairs just made it (66-JJ),..and any flush draw..course he could have anything..I'd love to know what villain had with those stats.
