posting this is prob a beat since i play micro, but i got donked out of a couple $100 pots and got down all the way to $18 left in my roll, which was at a .10/.25 table. with the help of my companion, we decided i should just take 20 to .25/.50, double up, take that to 1/2, double up, take that to 2/4, double up, etc. until i get up to $1k.

so i'm making progress and it appears i can skip 2/4 and go straight to 3/6, via this hand (apparently my brag is i can make a read so unbelievable that essentially a min raise gets 1 villain out of the pot):
