Default Ever just call to get it in on turn if the board doesn\'t pair?

Prima Poker skin
Pot Limit Omaha Ring game
Blinds: $1/$2
4 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $198.00
Button: $111.29
SB: $167.47
hero: $201.40

Pre-flop: (4 players) hero is BB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
UTG (poster) checks, Button calls, SB calls, <font color="#cc0000">hero raises to $8</font>, UTG calls, Button calls, SB calls.

Flop: K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($38, 4 players)
SB checks, <font color="#cc0000">hero bets $40</font>, 2 folds, <font color="#cc0000">SB raises to $80</font>, <font color="#cc0000">

Sometimes i like to just call these and get it in on the turn as opposed to when I have a flush draw to go with it and a flush hitting may make Villan fold the turn. Villan is never folding, nearly always has a set and will be giving me 2.5/1 on the turn.

I usually reraise this. Calling is fine if hes tight enough where you think you have no fold equity I guess.

In the heat of multi-table battle, I would probably shove (at least it is good for table image). But this is probably the wrong decision.

If you want to skip the simulations here are my conclusions:
(1) calling is fine on the flop. You are certainly behind and shoving if not +EV
(2) On the turn, SB shoves you should,
- fold if the board pairs

(If the board doesn't pair and you miss your straight)
- call if you get a spade flush draw
- possibly call if you miss your straight and a heart falls.
- strongly consider a fold if you miss your straight and a club or diamond falls.

If villain has a set or top two pair, you have at best ~45% equity on the flop.
Omaha Hi: 820 enumerated boards containing Ks 5c Td
cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
Js 9s Ah Qh 373 45.49 447 54.51 0 0.00 0.455
Kc Kd Th 5h 447 54.51 373 45.49 0 0.00 0.545

Omaha Hi: 820 enumerated boards containing Ks 5c Td
cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
Js 9s Ah Qh 375 45.73 445 54.27 0 0.00 0.457
Kc Tc 3h 2h 445 54.27 375 45.73 0 0.00 0.543

If you are up against a big wrap, you have ~30% equity
Omaha Hi: 820 enumerated boards containing Ks 5c Td
cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
Js 9s Ah Qh 164 20.00 489 59.63 167 20.37 0.302
Kc Qc Tc Jh 489 59.63 164 20.00 167 20.37 0.698

Against top set and a wrap you have about ~25-30%% equity
Omaha Hi: 820 enumerated boards containing Ks 5c Td
cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
Js 9s Ah Qh 149 18.17 526 64.15 145 17.68 0.270
Kc Qc Jc Kd 526 64.15 149 18.17 145 17.68 0.730

You have 12 outs, so you have about a 25% chance (3 to 1) of hitting your straight, plus if you hit a spade on the turn you will have more outs. You are being offered almost exactly 3 to 1. Calling is fine because there is almost no scenario in which you will be ahead. I seriously doubt you have fold equity here... villain has just put in 1/2 of his stack on a check raise.

If the board pairs, you are done with the hand.

If the board doesn't pair but doesn't hit your straight you will be offered ~2.5 to 1 ...

If you have a flush draw on the turn (say, 2s) and villain has top set, you will ~30-40%
Omaha Hi: 40 enumerated boards containing Ks 2s 5c Td
cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
Js 9s Ah Qh 10 25.00 25 62.50 5 12.50 0.312
Kc Qc Jc Kd 25 62.50 10 25.00 5 12.50 0.688

Omaha Hi: 40 enumerated boards containing Ks 2s 5c Td
cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
Js 9s Ah Qh 16 40.00 24 60.00 0 0.00 0.400
Kc 6c Kd Jh 24 60.00 16 40.00 0 0.00 0.600

So calling here is mandatory if you have a flush draw.

HOWEVER, if you don't have a flush draw on the turn (say 2h), you may want to fold.
cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
Js 9s Ah Qh 11 27.50 29 72.50 0 0.00 0.275
Kc 6c Kd Jh 29 72.50 11 27.50 0 0.00 0.725

Omaha Hi: 40 enumerated boards containing Ks 5c Td 2h
cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
Js 9s Ah Qh 4 10.00 30 75.00 6 15.00 0.175
Kc Qc Jc Kd 30 75.00 4 10.00 6 15.00 0.825

If the board puts out a diamond or club flush draw, you certainly want to fold since you have just lost 4 outs (possibly).
Omaha Hi: 40 enumerated boards containing Ks 5c 2c Td
cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
Js 9s Ah Qh 7 17.50 33 82.50 0 0.00 0.175
Kc 6c Kd Jh 33 82.50 7 17.50 0 0.00 0.825

Thanks for taking the time to post this OrrLives. Your analysis is very good. I knew I had no fold equity but pushed any way his KKK held up.
