Default playing basketball/swimming, etc

I am currently trying to bulk at 5' 11, 149 pounds so I'm trying to eat a lot, I'm on Rippletoes, etc. I have a question though, I play basketball around 2-3 times a week (pickup games, scrimmages, etc.) and I also like to go swimming occasionally and just play sports. Since all of these will help to burn calories, should I cut down on them or do I just need to eat more to compensate for the loss of calories? For someone who is bulking, can they really not do much physical activity other than lifting?

I cringe when I hear people say not to do cardio when bulking. Cardio does more than burn calories. Do not stop cardio, especially activites like you listed. Just compensate for the enegry you burned, eat some more.

I agree with Northern; only consider cutting the cardio if you're stuffing yourself sick everyday and still aren't getting the results you want.

Do you still make a decrease of cardio though?

If I am bulking I will decrease heavy amounts of cardio, I will still do it but just not 5 sessions a week. When I reduce cardio it is more referring to sessions on the treadmill. I will NEVER reduce physical activites such as basketball/swimming as there are many benefits other than just burning calories as they improve cardio, social activity, way to release stress etc...
