Keep in mind that he was arrested for capturing a rich heir who got his kicks by giving women GHB, date raping them and videotaping it, and who almost certainly would have gotten away otherwise.

I thought I had seen all the episodes, but I happened to watch the one where he and Beth got married, and that same day his daughter was killed in a car accident. It was actually incredibly sad.

Yeah, he was arrested for apprehending a rapist who jumped bail and fleed the country... real just.
