Default a new razz pupil

so ive decided its razz im going to focus on 100%. being new to any kind of stud game i was wondering what math about the game is important. id like to commit to memory as much about the game as i can. so what probabilites odds and the like should i know. ive looked at the mike caro odds section in the back of SS as well as the last section of the potlimit no limit book by ciafone/reuben and their odds tables are very different i dont see how they can be coming up with these different numbers. thanks

Welcome olmaters. Hopefully you'll find razz challenging, enjoyable, and profitable. If you have SS1 there is a brief but good section on razz to get the ball rolling, but I'd wager there are better sources to learn about razz than from Caro or Ciaffone.

Sklansky on Poker contains Sklansky on Razz, the classic text. It can be found used online in lots of places for $15 or so, and it is worth the money.
