Default AKs - River Bluff v. Donk

History: The previous two hands I raised preflop and got heads-up with him. In both hands he check-folded. This is now the third hand in a row I have raised...

Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.50/$1 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

SB: $136.10
BB: $133.95
UTG: $103.00
Hero (MP): $109.20
CO: $99.35
BTN: $98.50

Preflop: Hero is dealt K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (6 Players)
UTG folds, Hero raises to $4.00, 2 folds, SB raises to $7.00, BB folds, Hero calls $3.00

Flop: ($15) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB bets $5.00, Hero calls $5.00 (Probably a bad idea, right?)

Turn: ($25) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB bets $5.00, Hero raises to $15.00, SB calls $10.00

River: ($55) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB checks, Hero bets $42.00

Comments on all streets much appriciated. Thanks.

i think once he calls the turn, he's rarely folding this river.

flop call is meh, i call too... preflop i play the same if he's your table target otherwise i likely 4b to 35/call a push

i flat call turn, i dont think there's a lot of value in raising and you know he's paying you off

i check behind river too, for some reason i have a vision of a set going for c/rai after his turn repeat bet and flat call and the only thing he's going to fold is TT or AQ

I really didn't like how i played this hand (not being results-orientated - he actually folded.) I like your suggestion of 4-betting pre-flop and calling a push.

If you're going to raise the turn, make a real raise.

I don't know what to do pre here either.

I'd probably pop the flop though.

It's exactly the same amount as I'd bet with a proper hand.

I think your bluff will work against most players when they have a one pair hand like AJ, maybe overpairs as well. However, I think once they call the turn, they are likely to call the river. Also, if they are not willing to give you credit for hitting a gutshot with Q10 or 107, or two pair with J9, then they will think you either flopped a set or are bluffing, possibly with 910 or a pair that picked up diamonds on the turn. Accordingly, this type of bluff where it is hard to represent something other than a set might get called in some spots.

If you're going to respond to my posts, do it without the attitude.
