Default Semi OT - The big thread of postflop.

I am thinking we need a dank thread on post flop play. I mean a thread that can anwser the following questions.

1.How can I get good at post flop play?

2. How critical is it in the big picture?

I guess if anyone know how to play post-flop you can post some advice in this thread. I am going to be looking for hands and good links to anything and everything postflop. I will post some when I find some.

Read the NL cash forums. Even if you don't plan on playing NL cash.

Play cash games. Donking around trying to figure it out in a SNG is a bad idea.

Not very in SNGs. Obviously it helps but is not a huge boost to your ROI.

I like the idea Al..we must think alike, because I was going to start a similar thread a couple weeks ago, but didn't for whatever reason...that's weird

I've been looking to review my postflop play as well..so I'll certainly be reading through this thread often

Proper bubble play is worth more than postflop play. My estimate is that it would add between 1 and 5 % to your ROI.

5% increase in ROI is pretty damn big in my book.

I don't argue that bubble play is more important, but 1-5% is huge.

5% is huge. 1% not so much. I would guess it is on the low side of this, but obviously this depends greatly on how strong your postflop play currently is.

If you are literally sitting out the first 3 rounds unless you get AA KK QQ or AK then you will have a bigger increase than someone who is playing suited connectors and such in position.

EDIT: I also think these numbers are generous. Depending on the level the difference might be minimal(<.5%)
