When people say that a particular format sucks, it often just means that they don't know how to play it. I played NLO8 for years in backroom games, and it comes in a wide variety of moods: sometimes playing like spread limit, sometimes like pot limit, and sometimes playing like gangbusters. Also, it's a good idea to have at least some experience playing NLO8, because if you ever get into a REALLY good pot limit O8 game, the money will be going in on the flop anyway, so it's good to have an idea of what to look for.

I like NLO8; bad players play worse. It also seems to attract retards. Just look on fulltilt, usually half the table has 20-30% of a full buyin. |

AA+card(s) lower than 9 = all in preflop. The only hands they call you with, are the ones you have dominated.
