Back when I started wanting to get into poker, all the 2.2 pros said to play limit because it's more profitable. Forget the nuances of the game, that's not why the pros play. They play b/c it makes more money, or did back a couple-three years ago. Rakeback is also much higher.

I have a friend who plays 10/20 limit as his regular game. We've crunched the numbers and he'd have to play NL 600 to make the same money he makes with limit. It's not just because of the profit at the tables...it's also b/c he can play more tables with limit, and get higher RB and bigger bonuses.

i play limit because when i first turned pro i was a professional NL low limit LIVE player. the casino i played at didnt spread any higher stakes NL games so in order for me to move up and make more money i had to learn limit, which i did. i then worked hard at limit as that was my main game at the casino and that pretty much set the course for my poker career. its unfortunate that they didnt have bigger NL games, because i really wish i learned NL instead of limit.

Default real men play pot limit...

MIXED. 2 losing weeks over a 3 year period, it seems like cheating...need i say more? a true expert has no bigger edge than in a pot limit mixed game.

even if you can only mix 2 games holdem and o/8 your advantage goes through the roof. there used to be a 2 game 5-5 pl mix in the bay. just adding the 2nd game caused leather ass locals to tilt like monkey boys.
