WTF? This sounds like a lose lose situation. You get a ton of purses or Tiffany's boxes or perfume or whatever the [censored] you're into piling up while he has to play more to buy you gifts of which you demand more and more as he plays more and more to keep up?

I don't know. How about making a standing date for making dinner together, taking a class together like rock climbing or SCUBA or something. You know, spend time with her instead of just money, and then she'll feel like you're making a concerted effort to be with her and fit her into your multi tabling. One night off a week isn't going to kill you and it sounds like she's a pretty awesome girl.

Her threatening to leave is pretty dumb though, and you might want to make it clear that it doesn't make your situation any better. It's like whining to a guy who works overseas and can't come home on a moments notice or has to do overtime a few nights a week. Being a poker widow isn't for everyone.

I've seriously considered the cruise option, but she'll never understand the whole "swings involved" thing. The only way to shut her up on thinking it's a waste of time and money is to take down a big event, but the only way to take down a big event in a reasonable amount of time is to play more poker, aggravating the situation even more... I think the cruise idea or puppy are good.

Many of the other ideas are damned funny (and some also worth considering), lol.

Mine doesn't either. I'll be like hey I won $x today. I get an "Awesome. What are you going to do with that money?" I've tried to explain what a bankroll is but she doesn't get it. The one plus is she will listen patiently as I bitch about donks and suckouts.

EV goes up considerably at night and on weekends. Furthermore, some of the best MTTs run past 6pm or start at/after 6pm (Sunday $1M, FTP $750k G, etc, etc). I'm starting to think I need to just get her pregnant so she feels like she can't leave me, then turn around and play poker all I want and be like "You can't leave me now. You need my income! lolz!" to which she might reply "GG"??? Hmmm.. somehow I think that might fail.
