Default Re: Two hands, live, just wondering if I made the correct plays

[ QUOTE ]
yup, if you play KK like they're Rocket fuel you might as well not play at all. The odds of two players being dealt AA and KK on the same hand are pretty low, something like 500-1, I don't know the exact number but I know its highly unlikely. It does happen, but not often enough for me to fold KK PF(in most situations)

This is a complete hijack but your cards are known in this spot. You have KK. So looking for the odds of AA vs KK without knowing that you have KK is irrelevant. That is like saying that, when there are three aces on the flop, the odds that someone has the fourth ace are close to nil because the odds of flopping quads is so small.

The odds are 220:1 of being dealt aces (its actually better than that after we remove the kings from the deck)

The odds of someone having aces at a 9 handed table is therefore 24.44:1. (220/9)

Therefore if you are at a 10 person table and you have KK then you will run into AA approximately 4% of the time.

Not exactly the .2% (500:1) that you claimed in your reply
