Bush had NOTHING to do with this though there are plenty of other reasons to dislike him.

This same exact legislation was floating around in congress for the last 6 years and these religious anti-gambling whackos who wrote this bill couldn't get it through the senate.

Then Bill Frist received a hefty 50K donation from Harrah's Entertainment Casino. Frist knew he could NOT get this legislation passed on its own (as it failed the last 5 years) so he snuck it in the back of a 220 page "MUST PASS" port security bill that was voted on the last congressional day before the recess. Many senators who voted for the security port legislation had NO IDEA that this internet legislation was attached.

I admire Barney Frank (D - Massachusetts) and Shelly Berkeley (D - Nevada) for standing up and trying to defeat this bill in the House of Representatives where it first passed. However, democrats have FULL CONTROL of congress now and you don't see them making any efforts at all to try and repeal this horrible legislation.

Place the blame where it belongs on BILL FRIST.
