I live in Mission Valley just north of Downtown and you can tell there's a tad bit of haze and a little bit of a smell, but it's not that bad.

dont think the air isnt dirty. i have a view of the bay and cant see anything. you mihgt now be able to tell much but there is a TON of smoke in the air.

Man, this sounds damn terrible. Hope this gets contained soon. The roads must be a mess.

What happens to the animals at the Wild Animal Park?

They got the T&E animals out, put others in cages and got others to fire safe areas. They said if worst came true, they had watering holes to use for shelter.

I live in riverside, and it smells like a bonfire outside and its kind of hazy. Im not even that close to big fires.

Is it against the law to not evacuate during a "mandatory evacuation"?

I didn't think the police could make you leave your home unless martial law was declared.

We have close family friends who live in Ramona who told us that they have lost everything. House, horses, etc. Terrible.
