Default 200NL cash TP + OESD turn decision

2nd hand we've played so no reads. First hand, he limped. I led a 766 two-flush flop, led a 8o turn, and we checked down a completing flush jack. He had A7o, I had 85o.

Call again. Re-eval the river. I don't see any point in raising here, and folding is just terrible.

On the river I'm going to call a modest bet on a non-scary card.

It's tricky with no reads, I'd guess he's got a K or maybe 2 pair. I don't fancy him as betting a flush draw (unless he's got a Kh as part of it). I'd probably call this and hope for a straight/another king. Assuming one of these doesn't hit then it's going to be a tricky decision on the river, I'd probably still call a bet of up to 50 or so, though I wouldn't like doing it.

completely agree. Calling here is no brain, see if the river helps. Don't do anything crazy, i.e. shove. You could be well behind, and if he has KQ or KT, he's not folding to a shove. AK is unlikely as he didn't repop you preflop, but I would rule it out either. K9 is not very likely either. Does the villain make this play with A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]? A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]?

He could be on the flush draw, but there is a strong chance you are behind right now too.

call the turn and see what develops on the river.

OK, that's what I thought. I shoved and immediately regretted it. He had K4 and I didn't hit. End of thread.

It should be somewhat of a mantra to never shove on 2nd hand with one pair on a drawy as [censored] board in HU without past history.
