Game cancelled tonight!!!

Do you think baseball is quick to pull the plug because the game is up against Monday Night Football. Also, do u think baseball wants the Mets to be in the World Series for rating reasons so they will cancel the game really fast. Lastly, do u think New York gets the benfit of the doubt like in the Yankee/Detroit debacle, because of the big market?

I think most likely they looked at the weather in St. Louis, realized it has been raining for hours and will be raining for hours and then pulled the plug.

Steady rain downtown St Louis all day. Finally quit around 10:00 p.m. CST. MLB made a very good decision. If they wait to call the game they would be accused of just wanting to take in the parking and concession money prior to calling the game. I was very glad as I have tickets and did not really want to stand around in the pouring down rain just to have the game called.

I guess it rained a little in St. Louis today. But the MLB was really trying to help the Mets out by giving Glavine and the Cards bullpen an extra day of rest.
