Default bet this river? nl cash

we've been reraising each other a good amount, prob 15-20% of the time. in the reraised flops we've played today, i stacked his tp3k with tptk and on the other i c bet/ck turn/ck and folded to his river bet.

stacks 430

he raises to 12. i repop to 40 with 77.

flop 80

i lead for 51. he calls.

turn 182

i lead for 120. he calls.

river 422

Do you feel a check on the turn requires that you fold your hand too often? I would say we can rule out KK/QQ given the agg nature of your match, leaving him with JJ-88 that may fold to a bet. Also by checking you keep the pot smaller and you do not necessarily reveal the strength of your hand unless you always check flop with KK/QQ yourself. Also if you are betting this river it is not to try and fold out KQ but exactly JJ-88, so its now that you have to weigh your opponents tendencies against ur perceived image.

You don't really have enough to push him off his hand. He's never folding an ace here but I don't think that's most of his range... it's mostly pp. I hate checking though. Meh... I'd probably have checked the turn which would give us way more options for the river.

I like the repop and the flop bet but i check turn here to control pot as i would think he must have better 2 pair or the ace only way i think your good here is if he is a totall Re-Tard.

i'm almost 100% certain that he's raising an ace on the turn.

he floats sometimes (pretty seldom but he could think this is a good spot to do it), so i really don't like a turn check. mostly bc if he bets a call defines my hand (i could crai).

if you check the turn, what options would you take for the river. a blocking bet? push? check/call?

If you check the turn, you have all of those options available.

If he's calling down light, he might be calling with high-card, in which case $220 into $440ish isn't going to fold his K, or 88-JJ for that matter.
