Default Montior took a crap?

24" dell may have just gone bad. Everything is a flickering hue of pink red or purple. The black border of my background now looks like the black and white fuzz on tv, only its red and black. I can still make out what images should be. I can't seem to take a screenshot either. All cables are in place. Looking for when I bought the thing to see if its under warranty. Also if anyone knows a way to get screenshot besides print screen, ctrl-v let me know pls.

Alt+PrntScrn should just take a shot of the selected/active/foreground window.

Have you tried a new cable? I'd swap that out first (since it's super easy) before scrapping the whole monitor.

Does wiggling the cable affect the display?

Can you put the monitor on another computer to test it?

tried it on another computer, worked fine. Switched ports on my computer expecting the other monitor to do the same thing but oddly enough both work fine now.

A screen shot probably won't show what the display actually looks like. It will show what the display would look like if the monitor wasn't broken (if you display it on a good monitor, anyway).
