Default Tricky spot with an overpair

Villian is new to the table. Tough spot. How do we proceed?

I'm probably calling down against an unknown, but the board sucks. We have 4 non-spade dirty outs and he could be semibluffing KsX or betting a smaller pair. Maybe we could find a fold on a spade river.

See that's what I like about live play. As soon as the turn card hits I say to my opponent. "At least I have a good spade to go with my Ace" and we check it down.

Also please explain the thought process behind the turn raise.

it's funny

this guy the other day

checkraised me on 543 with k5. then bet turn 2, i call. river 7 he bets again. i had jj planning to raise turn but hey. i see that card and it's like, how does he bet the river. it's funny.

then there's the guy who calls down my flop c/r w/ AK

on Tc9c4d4sJc

(i rivered him lol)
