Re: NL10: Overplaying AA?
No read on him? Against an unknown at 10NL, an overpair is generally good. I guess that wasn't the case here though, because of your post.

Re: NL10: Overplaying AA?
I play this exactly the same. I guess you could check/call the river. AA was no good here?

Re: NL10: Overplaying AA?
Bet closer to pot size on the flop. At leaset a dollar. The rest is fine.

Re: NL10: Overplaying AA?
Villain showed down 33. In a later hand, he bluffed me off a hand where my 8's got counterfeited by 10-7-9-10-7 board and he showed down 5's after I folded. It's been that kind of day. lol
In retrospect, river is gross as a lot of ppl will call down bets with the flush draw. I probably should've c/c'd or bet like...half his stack? |

Re: NL10: Overplaying AA?
I would really advocate raising more preflop or just call (obvious this is not an option I would recommend. The amount you raise is ideal I recall ideal for setminers (raise is 5% of buttons stack and 10% of other villains stacks, but they know others will come in behind them probably), because they know you have an overpair here a lot of the time and you are OOP and they are IP(unless you have a very high %preflopraise percentage)... Make it like 0,80 to go... to bad if you take it down preflop.

Re: NL10: Overplaying AA?
I think you should c/c the river. If he calls the river, he's usually going to have AK beaten which means he has AA beat.
edit: if there wasn't a king on the board I'd push the river. |
