50nl 140bb deep, bet into on flop with gutshot SFD
Villian is 17 / 11 / 13 over 85 hands
I don't really know what i thought of his bet into me, but i figured if he had a set and i raised him to 10 he'd repop to ~30ish putting me in a very tough spot.. Party Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.25/$0.50 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter) SB: $89.60 BB: $70.33 UTG: $52.69 MP: $80.57 CO: $50.00 Hero (BTN): $152.85 Preflop: Hero is dealt 6 4 (6 Players) 3 folds, Hero raises to $2.00, SB folds, BB calls $1.50 Flop: ($4.25) 3 2 A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players) BB bets $3.00, Hero ??? How do you play this hand from here Note: Once again, im currently in the process of moving UP to 50nl, so i may not play for draws as aggressively to begin with |

We have odds. Our hand is fairly disguised. And we don't want to get raised. I think a call is perfect.

Free card play? [/ QUOTE ] The hand is disguised already. But we dont want to get raised. We can call any turn. And we still look like a weak ace. Only one issue with this play. A donkbet is fairly often a draw pricing itself. A cold call followed by a turn raise from a preflop raiser is a very scary move, not many hands can call here. And if you do, you still have lots of outs. |

Easy raise - villains range here is heavily weighted towards 22-JJ, sometimes AJ.
He bets either because a) he has a monster (unlikely), or b) he wants to know where he is at (very likely). Tell him he is screwed -> win monies. (fwiw I'd raise with any two here) |

Implied odds with flushdraws are overrated. Everyone slows down when the third card hits. The benefit of raising is huge, as villain will fold tons of better hands - in fact I can only see him continue with AK/22/33/45.

KQc... amongst others with some of the clowns here [/ QUOTE ] He is pretty tight so I think he will fold KcQc and hands like Ac5c preflop. AcJc is definitely possible. But even if he did call preflop with those hands I still think a raise is good, as we will get folds from 44-JJ, maybe even AJ. |
