"I heavily discount a set of JJs or 88s. If this game plays like a typical 3 handed aggressive game, if you're beat, set of 10s/66s is the most likely holding by villian."

i dont get this at all. why is jj discounted but not 66?

regardless if you put villains range as qq+, 66 and tt we are about 66% favorite. his range is assuredly wider and tends toward hands we are behind. i wouldnt discount jj or 88 at all. i would add jts and possibly jto. throw in aj and kj as well.

2,112 games 0.005 secs 422,400 games/sec

Board: 6d Ts Js 8d
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 40.909% 40.91% 00.00% 864 0.00 { TT+, 88, 66, AJs, KJs, JTs, AJo, KJo, JTo }
Hand 1: 59.091% 59.09% 00.00% 1248 0.00 { Jh8c }

hell, throw in qjo and we are still only 61% favorite. i have no idea where you are pulling your hand ranges or equity estimates from but i think you are way off.

"You're supposed to play each street by itself"

wow this is horrible advice.

"AA/KK/QQ do 3bet this turn." " Good players don't raise QQ/KK/AA here?"

i dont think you get it, even if those hands do 3bet we still dont have the equity to cap and lead.

"Yes, I do think I'm ahead more than 66% of the time. In fact, I know I am."

please construct a hand range and show pstove results. i think you are crazy.

If the game is playing at all aggro, I look to get some more bets in here. I put villain on AT+ with an occassional 99, 77, A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] etc. thrown in.

also, i forgot about q9. cap/leading is a clear mistake with any reasonably (and nearly all very favorable) constructed hand ranges.

mmcd, and others, even if you add all those hands calling down is still better. you all have pokerstove, use it in this situation thats very straightforward.

looks like people looking more for an excuse to raise becasue theyre so excited about their 2 pair rather then really doing some serious consideration whats the best play given the information we have
