If you want to give this thread some new life, you might consider this question:

Knowing everything we know today, which of these had more of a positive influence on the game of poker as we know it today (either live or online):
a) Rounders
b) Moneymaker

(I say "knowing everything we know today", because if the quesiton was "at the time they happened, which had a greater effect...", I think it's Moneymaker's win in a cakewalk. But looking back on everything in the aggregate, it's hard not to agree that Rounders had a huge effect as well.)

I didn't think Rounders was that great. It didn't make me want to play poker. Then again, I'm not a 20-something yuppy that's looking for a role model. 20-something poker players make me vomit.
