Default standard pp isolation?

looose passive table with lots of limping around. we're still playing poker a little postflop though.

This line felt both ok and crappy simultaneously.

I don't get the flop raise. He's not going to fold there or on the turn. I'd invest my money in showing down ui. Maybe raise the turn if you had a better read.

i think the flop raise buys me a free card a lot of the time, and there's probably a shot that he'll pitch if the turn is a an A or K. Also, I get to extract more when I catch and can safely pitch on the river UI when he does that stopngo madness.

Can you elaborate? I think it's the exact opposite, calling usually preserves implied odds while raising hurts them

Well you don't want him to pitch an A.

I don't know why you'd want to take a free card when some random card hits, but you want to bet a K, which is one of the worst cards for you.

I don't see how this gets you more if you hit. If he has the lead, you might get 2bb when you hit or he might check and you'll get one. If you have the lead, you're going to get one basically always.

Guru, you describe the table as passive. What are you putting villain on that he'll pitch before the river?
