shorties pretty much make no money against me. I steal their blinds and i only play big (20bb) pots against them when i have a premium hand vs their range or am getting sufficient odds with big cards.

The key to beating them is realizing that becaues theyre short, you are also effectively ALSO short. So dont play like a 30/25 guy vs them... you are in essence playing like a 30/25 shortstack and we all know how aweful they are.

Most shorties dont have the attention or the savvy to adjust to you tighting up your calling range but loosening your opening range vs them. They dont play short b/c they are super good at evaluating and adjusting to ranges folks

Guess what, the games won't last forever anyway, Poker AI and ever more advanced datamining will see to that and sooner than most on this board realize.

there are some easy solutions to "restratify" the playing field, cats! changing the forced action, deepening the stacks, or otherwise altering the rules. the games needn't dry up completely.

that said, i wouldn't be surprised if hand histories are eliminated completely in the near future to thwart dataminers. large aggregations of data are very, very bad and i (think) that's evident to everyone. it's another thing far more worthy of lobbying than ruining kurosh's fun, too.

Also pretty funny that people who say they hate shortstackers in this thread do it (often)...

Catcher - I don't see what can be considered good about opening to $80 and calling his raise to $140 with Q5s vs a $370 stack.
