really bad call against snappo
we have some history. he probably sees me as a bit of a maniac. I think I misplayed this one badly. How do you guys do it differently? also utg is a huge fish (very loose passive)

Re: really bad call against snappo
You gotta bet the flop w/ the fishy in there.
The turn is a weird spot, you're not repping much other than 88 and he may interpret it is as a bluff and shove draws. Or he may call the raise w/ weaker hands. But he might also have you beat and you'll put in alot of money drawing to 4 outs. As played I'd call the turn the first time around. |

Re: really bad call against snappo
I presume the flop was a misclick. I much prefer calling this turn and raising a blank river.

Re: really bad call against snappo
Good God, I nearly choked on my Subway at that flop check.
As played I wouldn't raise the turn against a player who I felt might semibluff stack, because I don't think stacking off is going to be good for me. Problem is you'll be drawing to four outs maximum when beat and he'll probably have more like 12 when you're winning. If I raised it would be with the intention of folding a reraise. |
