For reference, previous answers thread:
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...umber=10694360

Quick note about today's update: Not much changed. A couple of timing changes (we went too far shortening the amount of time to post blinds, so that's been upped a bit), the disconnect time bank now caps at 90 seconds instead of 120 seconds (but it also replenishes 50% faster), and I flipped the doomswitch on one random person who replied to the latest Brandi/Sklansky thread.

1. DO THIS. (provide a mod with some of the evidence in the bot thread)

- This is done. You can see Gildwulf's thoughts in the thread itself. As far as exactly when players will see any kind of restitution, I really can't say. These things take time for a variety of reasons (not the least of which is the fact that this case touches a huge number of players and is fairly complicated). What I can say is that FTP will not be keeping these funds.

2. Doug, can you create new images for the NL tables buttons, so that the pot and max buttons are bigger. Like each button would take up half the bet box, instead of the 1/3 format with the missing box that you have now. I think it'd cut down on a lot of misclicks.

- Hmm. There isn't much room left on the table for bigger buttons. My guess is no, and even if my guess is wrong, it wouldn't change any time soon (unless there were a lot of people with similar complaints). Sorry.

3. The fact that "auto-post" is the default and I don't have to sit there while people time out deciding if they want to post a blind is awesome; I hope that is also how the FTP "speed" games work. If so, I would definitely play FTP speed NL if it was available.

- Yeah, once we have "sit out next blind" for the speed tables (which includes the auto-post by default you're talking about), we'll give NL speed tables a shot. We should have that in one of the next few big updates.

4. Is there any way FTP can add 1 click reloading for NL/PL tables? Right now it takes 3 clicks.

- That's a good idea, I'll try to add something like that to my related pet projects (auto-rebuy for ring games and choose your own default buyin).

5. If you're playing a hand and close the table before it fully finishes, the hand never gets written to disk.

- This is part of the "make sure the hands get written out properly on an early table close" project. It includes this and the bustout hand of a tournament resulting in a table change not writing out properly. Hopefully it will be addressed within the next couple of updates.

6. I posted a thread two or so weeks ago that you responded in where I sent an e-mail to FTP asking that they either make the 5K FTP Points item in the Ironman store cheaper, or at least add a bigger Points item (say, 50K FTP Points?) You said (and the reply to my e-mail said) that a bigger FTP Points item sounded reasonable, and that you were probably going to add it in. Any idea when? I hope you haven't forgotten!

- I haven't forgotten! I'll try to make sure it's in by the end of the week.

7. Can we get an explanation as to why fixes are 6 months away? (for lag issues)

- Basically, there was no "quick fix" for the lag issues some people are experiencing, so after exhausting all of those possibilities, we were left with the reality that a good portion of code needed a complete rewrite. Which is what we're doing now. Obviously we didn't want it to take this long, and it's a huge priority for us to get right. I'll take the under on 4 months, by the way.

8. Also, it'd be nice if you'd do something with that token system for tournaments.

- I'd say one of the reasons those token MTTs are so filled with, uh, less than expert players is that the system is the way it is. It's so popular that when we eventually roll out T$ (still coming, just delayed) we will be keeping the same token system in place.

9. can we make the turbo tourneys have the same features as the speed cash games?

- Maybe at some point we'll experiment with that a little, but for now there aren't any plans for this.

10. receiving things purchased from the Iron Man store is even slower!

- We're working on fully automating this process. Hopefully soon. I agree the delay is unacceptable.

11. Could you create some tournaments for more FT points than 10k?

- Every once in a while we throw something like this in. We'll think about putting something a bit more permanent up.

12. I'd like to see FT make a deal with a Carribean or other non-US Casino / Cruise ship to have a 10K tournament (13-15K pkg), where their online players ACTUALLY win a seat, not just a deposit to their account.

- You mean something like we did for Aussie Millions last year and will be doing again this year? You got it! We should be starting up qualifiers within a couple of months.

Doug

OH GOD. I HOPE IT WASN'T ME.

It's been fantastic that you've started to get back into the habit of making these FTP Answers threads again, there was a period of a couple of months where we didn't have any at all. Despite all the whiners and even flamers around here, I'm sure the majority really appreciates it.

Also, thanks for addressing my question on the Ironman store. I look forward to new things.

Good job Doug, nice replies!
Only thing I miss is that you take a bit more care of your mac-customers. You can't write notes because all of a sudden you will have a sudden crash while writing notes.
Would be great if you would look into this!

Regards, Youcan

Doug -

In the other thread I asked about table and game-type filtering, but it got lost in all the quotation about releasing bot info. Any updates on this?
