People throw something like $15-20Billion away on slot machine every year in the US. That's a glimpse of the fish market. It's all about availability and marketing. If online is easy to use and the game is popular, fish will come. Unfortunately, the first part isn't really true in the US right now.

STAY in school man! My sister is a dentist (UCSF class of '05) and doing quite well for herself. Don't get yourself caught up in poker and delay school or, worst, not go at all. Online poker will always be here.

I do hope you’re joking. Concentrate on your proposed dentistry career and just play poker on the side.

If your true passion is dentistry, become a dentist. If your true passion is poker, become a poker player. If you can't decide, then multitable during root canals while your patients are knocked out.

The real question how long is it profitable, i play at european times small stakes........and i think to stop plaing poker. I have only around 65% from my 2007 winnings......and concentrate more on other games like stock markets and real estate. Poker in europe is far away from a safe place....maybee they close the doors within a year.
