Default Journeyman

I'm sure a few people stuck around after the premier of Heroes to watch Journeyman.

I really liked the pilot.

If I were a woman I'd be madly in love with Kevin McKidd after his performance on HBO's Rome. It's nice to see him get another lead role after that.

I was a little worried about how they'd handle the friction with his wife. It seems like these plotlines are always silly because they drag a simple misunderstanding out for half a season when a five-minute conversation will clear everything up. It was nice to see him spend a few minutes to convince his wife that some strange stuff was going in. (The way he did it was pretty cool, as well.)

I'm also intrigued by what's going on with his not-dead-in-a-plane-crash ex-fiance.

Shallow observations: The ex-fiance is hot.
The wife (his brother's ex-wife) has a very wide mouth. She looks like a female Joker. It's a bit distracting.

QFT, this alone will bring me back for week 2. Beyond that, Vorenus is a badass, and pairing him with Reed Diamond is a good call. I liked this pilot FAR more than I liked Chuck.

I enjoyed it, thought his ex-fiance, Olivia, also was very hot.

Not sure if I'll be back next week, though ... maybe I'll just read the show-by-show descriptions on NBC.com to find out what the deal with not-so-dead-Olivia is.

At first I heard it was a guy travelling back in time to fix things, fix things being preventing the world from asploding. Then I saw the commercials before and it seemed like he was time travelling to save his marriage. That seemed really lame.

maybe, but the reason I loved Quantum Leap was because I was like 10 or so and time travel hero stuff was cooler then than now. The actor from Rome is good in it, but it was a little boring I thought. I dunno, it just didn't really do it for me. I am going to watch a couple more shows though and see if it gets better.

I enjoyed it quite a bit and will tune in next week. I agree with what's been previously said about not dragging out the wife problems for half the season and the comparison to Quantum Leap.
I hope it continues to be like QL where he helps regular people, rather than being about him stopping the world from ending.

I'm having a hard time watching new shows. I've been sticking to House.

Do you guys honestly think this Journeyman is worth the DVR?

If you have a DVR you should give pretty much anything a try (this from the person who is told every day how awesome The Office is, yet has never seen a minute of it). At least if a show sucks, you will have only wasted 42 minutes of your life, not 60.
