Re: 50nl: JJ in 3bet pot, I hate this situation
If you think his range is QQ+ you should fold pf. You are set mining with just the correct odds.
If you think his range includes AQ+ crai flop. 400 hands isn't enough to make you fear a 3 bet from button. |

Re: 50nl: JJ in 3bet pot, I hate this situation
[ QUOTE ]
ask yourself why you are 4b JJ before you consider doing it. Think about his range before you 4b and his range that he continues with after you 4b. You should see it's a bad idea. [/ QUOTE ] yes i realise that it folds out worse/better calls - it also stops us getting bluffed nastily later and he might fold hands we're flipping with. you obviously are more comfortable playing OOP that me in RR pots with marginal hands than me. assuming he shoves with KK+ 100% and AK,QQ 50% calls with AK 25%, TT-QQ 50% and folds AK 25%, TT-JJ 50% and whatever else he's holding, we need him to fold about 50% of the time when we 4bet to $18 for it to be +EV. there are probably better ways to make money vs this player... |

Re: 50nl: JJ in 3bet pot, I hate this situation
you realise your reasoning comes down to "making the hand easier to play" we want the most optimal line, not the easiest. Sure, 4b/folding or raising the flop may be +EV depending on his range, but it certainly isn't the most optimal. So you shouldn't do it.

Well villian is saying he has an overpair, and I would believe him that is bigger than yours. I think the flop you should have folded or check-raised.
