Default NL25: Set of treys meets weird line from PFR

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

BB ($25.80)
UTG ($6.20)
MP ($23.70)
CO ($9.85)
Hero ($55.75)
SB ($14.50)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG calls $0.25, MP raises to $1, 1 fold, Hero calls $1, 2 folds, UTG calls $0.75.

Flop: ($3.35) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
UTG bets $0.75, MP calls $0.75, Hero raises to $4.55, UTG folds, MP raises to $12.25, Hero ???

Villain is 18/9/2 over about 100 hands. No other reads. How often is this line A-X by a supposed non-donk like this?

At first, I was going to say that there's no way to fold this. But then I looked at his call-3bet line. Still, I think you are good here a lot of times. He could have A9. AK played retarded. Yes, I think 99 or AA are both possibilities, but I just don't see how I can fold this and shove.

I'm never folding here. Sure, it could be AA or 99 but it could also be a weirdly played AK or A9. If its set over set oh well... reload and keep moving

Agreed completely, just shove, you'll get called lighter than AA or 99.

I don't know if you have a large enough sample to assume he's a "non-donk." Even if he isn't a donk, he could be steaming from a bad beat / run and could be tilting and overplaying hands. It happens. This situation is why you play, I agree that a shove is in order here. This hand is as good an example of any of why we play. I mean, you obviously want lots of action like this when you flop a set.

You can't be afraid of set over set here. This is a dream flop for you. Right now, you need to be thinking, how can I get this guy's entire stack. I think set over set happens 1/1087 times (I could be wrong here). So I'm going to shove against this TAG because:

1. I have a set of 333 (Level 0)
2. I think he might have AK maybe A9s (Level 1)
3. He might think I have JJ-KK, AQ-AT and he thinks he's ahead (Level 2)

Just my 2 cents. I don't know how many of the villains we face at NL25 think on those levels, but it's how I think when going backwards through a hand. If he has AA or 99, then reload knowing you played the hand well.

Never fold a set at 25NL, especially on that flop! Easy push.

Thx for the replies. His reraise stunned me for a second, but then I was confident that this could be AK very often and I shoved. Just wanted to set things straight considering his line.
