putting more money in then you have to. if this guy is liable to double barrel bluff sometimes (but not often enough to call profitably) then it would be ok. Unecessary here though

So... c/c flop, turn gets checked through, do we check again, block bet, c/c? I feel as though taking the passive line just hands complete control over to villain.

Yes, but the value comes from letting them bluff with a c-bet... How much value do you really want from them? there comes a time to protect your hand as well.

it does, but he's too nitty/un-imaginative to exploit it, making it the right move.

on this board, considering the next highest card is a 9 and he did raise utg i think c/f is best, could bet something stupid like $5 to get AQ to look you up, but even a nit might bluff-raise that

Fold turn.

Also, try to see what hands he's raising utg. If he only raises TT+ utg, then you have some possibilities for bluffing. For example, leading the river for $98 often wins you the hand.

As a general policy I tend to avoid bluffing at likely overpairs in SSNL.

16/10/3.8 nit raises under the gun. Check-calling more than one street and praying that hes double barreling AQ+ is spew/bad imo.

C/Ring or B/Fing and trying to end it on the flop is much better than C/C. I dont think we are getting much value from weaker hands whatever we do.

Raising the flop sucks. Fold the turn.

You say that with such authority that I am willing to take it as gospel, but would you mind humoring me with a rationale?

Raising the flop basically turns your hand into a bluff, doesn't it? I would probably fold the turn. I think this guy is checking overcards there usually.
