Default Best places to live

I'm graduating this summer and could move out of my hometown (Canada) and I'd like to know what places do you think are the best to live. I hate winter (except for hockey) so it would be a place in the south, but where?

California /end thread

I live around Frisco, but I like SoCal much more. Key is living in a non-poor area.

Cali has a high cost of living though.

I'd recommend Chicago - but the 3 months of winter are pretty rough.

Austin, TX might be a really good option for you from what I've heard - cheap COL, tons to do, young people, lots of employers.

Born and raised here and love it. Other places are nice to visit but nothing beats Chicago. But the winters are more like 6 months long especially this last one

We do this thread like every 6 months, maybe we should just sticky the arguments for everyone.
