($24) AQs first hand
This hand didnt load correctly into PT, so excuse me for doing it by hand.
1st hand. 15/30. 9 players. Everybody has t1500. Folded to me in SB and I raise to t100 with A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], BB pushes. I have a note that says he is very loose aggro early. Is this ever a call? |

Re: ($24) AQs first hand
Sure, very easy call for me if Villain is at all aggro.

BvB vs a very loose aggro, I'd call.

Re: ($24) AQs first hand
Seems like a clear fold to me.
The only way for you to be a strong favorite is if you dominate him. You don't wanna risk all your money so early. AQs is a very strong hand, but it's not complete. I would call only with AA, also it may be worth calling with KK or QQ. |

Re: ($24) AQs first hand
Thanks fellas. Believe it or not, I'd never had this particular situation come up before.
99+,AQ+ look good for a range here? |

Re: ($24) AQs first hand
You cant win a tourney on the first hand, only lose it. Basic strategy sir. Even a double up early doesnt give you a crushing chip lead.

Re: ($24) AQs first hand
Even if the villian is loose/aggro early, you need to be a solid favorite to get all in like this pre-flop on the first hand. You don't want to spray your equity all over the table on a 60/40 or similar proposition in the tourny's first hand.
Dump it, don't show and move on. |

Re: ($24) AQs first hand
Yeah I like calling here definitely and I like the range of 99+, AQ+ as well.
