I dated a girl with my mom's name then I dated a girl with my mom's middle name. Neither worked out.

I highly doubt that I will meet anyone with my mother's name that I find attractive. It's a fairly uncommon name for my age group. If I did, I don't think I could go through with it, but then again, I'll probably be desperate enough that I'll say screw it.

If I had a sister with a common name (ie Jen, Jessica, Katherine, Megan, etc), I think I could deal with it. Something more rare, I think would make it slightly awkward.

I have a friend who dated a girl who had his sister's name. Her sister's name was the same as my friend's mom's name. He said neither bothered him, although it ended in about a year.
